Good morning.
Stock futures pointed higher before the open while long Treasury yields and crude eased, and the eight thirty Eastern trade report was the next scheduled macro test.
At six oh nine Eastern, S and P 500 futures were up 0.21%.
Nasdaq 100 futures were up 0.32%, and Dow futures were up 0.43%.
The 10-year Treasury yield was about 5.28%, below Monday's 5.31% close.
The V I X was near 15.40, and the dollar index was just below 102.
West Texas Intermediate crude was near $88 a barrel.
Brent was near $99 a barrel, while gold was about $4,179 an ounce.
Monday's Nasdaq Composite gained 1.05% and set a record.
The S and P 500 gained 0.66%, and the Russell 2000 gained 0.50%.
The Nasdaq stock screener counted 3,674 advancers against 2,805 decliners.
Materials and communication services led the tracked sector funds, while real estate finished lower.
The B E A releases the August United States trade report at eight thirty Eastern.
Lamb Weston scheduled results for about eight Eastern, followed by its call at nine.
Marvell's Investor Day livestream also begins at nine Eastern.
A M D was up 1.55% before the market.
Chief executive Lisa Su said A M D plans to substantially increase chip supply in 2027, while adding advanced wafer capacity and working through constrained memory supply.
The setup is constructive, not carefree. Lower yields and oil help at the margin, while the trade report and company events can quickly change the opening tone.
