WOLF Research Note — Evidence Meets Execution

CAMS — WOLF Research Note August 7, 2026

Wolfspeed has added genuine positive evidence, but factory economics remain unproven. Gross margin improved sequentially, capital spending normalized and LITEON qualified the company's silicon carbide for an 800-volt data-center platform. The value of that design win remains undisclosed.

Revenue has declined for three consecutive quarters, quarterly operating cash use worsened to roughly $83.8 million, and a heavily shorted float makes the recent price advance difficult to separate from covering. The August 19 report must connect higher utilization with better margins and lower cash use.

The full Level 2+ review maps the internal debate, operating ledger, valuation scenarios, market structure and the evidence that would change the thesis. Read the gated WOLF Deep Coverage Review or join CAMS Premium Research.
