TSM Research Note — Foundry Strength Under Pressure

TSM Research Note — Foundry Strength Under Pressure
CAMS — TSM Research Note July 23, 2026

TSMC's operating engine remains exceptional, but the market is testing how much of that strength deserves a premium while semiconductor breadth is weak. Record margins, raised growth expectations and reported 2027 wafer pricing support the long-term foundry thesis.

The counterweight is a softer technical structure, concentrated customer exposure and an irreducible geopolitical discount. Monthly revenue, leading-customer guidance and N2 process evidence will show whether the current weakness is sector rotation or the start of a more durable reset.
