RadNet Research Note: Operating Momentum Meets an Acquisition Test

RadNet RDNT research graphic highlighting 25.0% revenue growth, 22.7% Adjusted EBITDA growth, advanced-imaging demand, and the proposed ONRAD transaction.

RadNet's second-quarter 2026 results established a strong operating baseline before its next quarterly update. Total Company Revenue increased 25.0% to $622.7 million, while Adjusted EBITDA rose 22.7% to $99.7 million. The pace matters because the public debate is now less about whether the business is expanding and more about whether operating progress can keep supporting expectations.

Advanced imaging supplied another important signal. It represented 29.9% of procedure volume, and same-center advanced-imaging volume increased 9.6%. That same-center measure helps separate underlying demand from expansion through acquisitions, making it a useful marker for the durability of growth.

The mix also leaves an open margin question. Digital Health revenue reached $32.4 million, but segment Adjusted EBITDA was $2.5 million, down from $3.4 million a year earlier as infrastructure investment continued. Faster revenue in that segment has not yet produced a matching earnings profile.

The proposed ONRAD transaction adds a second layer to the story. It is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary regulatory review and closing conditions. The combination could broaden RadNet's reach, but it also raises the importance of funding discipline and post-closing execution.

RadNet reported $726.3 million in cash at June 30 and a 1.8 times Net Debt to Adjusted EBITDA ratio. Those figures provide context for assessing the transaction without removing the need for clear financing details.

The next public checkpoint is the November 9 third-quarter financial-results conference call. The key educational questions are whether companywide growth remains near the recent pace, whether advanced-imaging demand stays firm, whether Digital Health earnings improve, and whether management offers greater clarity around ONRAD. Together, those points will show whether recent momentum is broadening or becoming harder to convert into durable earnings.
