Magnite, Inc. reported stronger second-quarter operating performance before a significant legal development became public. Revenue rose 11% year over year to $192.8 million, Contribution ex-TAC increased 17% to $189.6 million, and adjusted EBITDA grew 30% to $70.6 million. The pattern points to operating leverage, not merely a legal-event narrative.
The mix remains important. CTV Contribution ex-TAC grew 36% to $97.1 million, while DV+ advanced 2% to $92.5 million. CTV therefore supplied most of the incremental contribution. That strengthens the execution case while making the distinction between business momentum and legal optionality essential, because the court's defined market concerns open-web display rather than CTV.
The remedies opinion selected behavioral relief instead of structural separation. It calls for interfaces connecting AdX and DFP with Prebid and for real-time AdX bids to rival publisher ad servers for indirect demand. Magnite identifies its mobile and desktop platform as a competitor to AdX inside Google's publisher ad server, creating a direct product-level connection. Still, technical access alone does not establish Magnite revenue, share gains, timing, or publisher migration.
The next evidence is procedural and commercial. Final judgment language must be settled, implementation must follow, and publishers must decide whether to use the new interfaces. The opinion anticipates a buildout period that could extend well beyond the immediate market reaction. Until adoption is visible in issuer disclosures, the legal change is best treated as conditional rather than as realized company economics.
Magnite also repaid $205.1 million of convertible-note principal with cash on hand, and none of those notes remained outstanding at June 30. That balance-sheet event adds context without resolving the central question: whether stronger operations persist while open-web interoperability develops.
