JPM Research Note — Quality at a Full Price

CAMS — JPM Research Note August 10, 2026
CAMS — JPM Research Note August 10, 2026

JPMorgan remains the strongest operating franchise in the large-bank group, but the shares now carry peak expectations. Return on equity was 17.79%, and the company beat seven of its last eight reported quarters. JPM closed at $359.79 on August 10 after gaining 6.9% over 21 sessions.

The harder question is price. The research package places JPM near 3.2 times tangible book, while the 1.67% forward yield sits below its 2.39% five-year average. Current credit visibility is incomplete, and the August 12 core-CPI release will test a financials rally that already reflects easier-policy expectations.

The full Level 2+ review weighs the internal debate, valuation scenarios, market structure and the conditions that would change the thesis. Read the gated JPM Deep Coverage Review or join CAMS Premium Research.
