Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 1.16% at six eleven Eastern amid an early technology rebound.
Good morning.
It is Monday, October 19, 2026.
Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 1.16% at six eleven Eastern amid an early technology rebound.
S and P 500 futures added 0.53%, while Dow futures were little changed.
Friday set a difficult base: the Nasdaq Composite fell 2.14%, the S and P 500 lost 1.09%, and the semiconductor fund dropped 3.41%.
Energy moved the other way, with its sector fund up 2.52%.
Reuters said artificial-intelligence-related shares rebounded Monday after last week's sharp selloff, while lower oil prices and Treasury yields helped sentiment.
The 10-year Treasury yield was near 5.08% before sunrise, but that level still leaves financing costs in focus.
Brent crude eased 1.15% to $108.60 a barrel, while WTI crude held near $101.41.
Reuters also reported that a tanker hit a mine in the Strait of Hormuz and that shipping and insurance costs kept physical oil prices elevated.
The Federal Reserve calendar has no major monthly release this morning, leaving earnings and cross-asset moves to carry more weight.
The recovery case rests on technology and semiconductors holding their early gains while yields and oil continue to ease.
A turn higher in long yields or crude would test that repair and could bring Friday's defensive rotation back into view.
