Oil was the biggest cross-asset move as growth stocks held the lead.
CAMS Closing Market Recap.

Good afternoon.
Oil was the biggest cross-asset move as growth stocks held the lead.
West Texas Intermediate crude was near $89.74 after the session, while Brent was about $98.42.
Reuters tied the decline to an improved Gulf supply outlook, including a conditional signal from Iran and preparations to resume Saudi exports from Yanbu.
That lowered one inflation pressure point, but the Strait of Hormuz situation remains conditional rather than resolved.
The Nasdaq Composite closed at 27,244, up 0.45%.
The Russell 2000 gained about 0.5%, while the Dow fell about 0.4% and the S and P 500 finished essentially flat at 7,765.
Nasdaq Composite data volume was about 7.84 billion shares.
The last verified breadth snapshot was positive earlier in the session, with advancers ahead of decliners by 1.62 to one on the New York Stock Exchange and 2.02 to one on the Nasdaq.
Technology and materials led the sector exchange-traded fund board, while financials and energy lagged.
The ten-year Treasury yield ended near 4.97%, the dollar index was near 100.54, and the V I X was near 14.3.
Gold was near $4,401 an ounce.
The Richmond Fed's regional manufacturing index fell to negative 2 from 4 in August, and both shipments and new orders contracted.
Fed Vice Chair Philip Jefferson's prepared remarks focused on discount-window modernization and Treasury-market function rather than a fresh monetary-policy signal.
AutoZone ended about 3.1% higher after reporting fourth-quarter sales of $6.6 billion, up 5.6%.
Its margin also received material help from tariff refunds and inventory accounting, so the earnings mix matters more than the headline move alone.
CAMS sentinels kept Gulf supply risk and several company-specific checkpoints on the board, but none changed the public conclusion.
The closing read is a selective risk-on tape.
Cheaper crude coincided with growth leadership, and volatility stayed low, but the flat S and P 500 and weaker Dow did not confirm a broad breakout.
Confirmation on Wednesday would require Nasdaq strength to hold with firmer financials and continued crude stability.
A reversal in oil or a ten-year yield above 5% would tighten the same conditions that supported today's growth bid.
