Friday, November 6, 2026.

Good evening.

The Nasdaq rose 1.09% as chips rebounded from Thursday's rout, while the Dow fell 0.46%.

The S and P 500 added 0.31%, and the Russell 2000 gained 0.89%.

S M H rose 3.62%, with Advanced Micro Devices up 11.04% and Intel up 7.71%.

Technology led the 11 sector funds with a 1.45% gain, while consumer staples fell 1.28%.

Advancers led decliners on both the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange, and advancing volume also led.

The rebound still carried a warning because new lows outnumbered new highs on both exchanges.

Q Q Q, S M H and technology volume all finished above their 10-day averages.

The Labor Department reported October job growth and unemployment at 4.1%.

August and September payroll growth was revised up by a combined eighty-four thousand.

The 10-year Treasury yield finished near 4.86%, the 2-year yield was 4.51%, and the dollar index gained 0.72%.

The V I X fell 9.01% to 25.64, but remained elevated after Thursday's spike.

West Texas Intermediate ended near $90.50, while gold lost 0.93%.

The University of Michigan's preliminary sentiment reading improved to 51 from 48, while year-ahead inflation expectations eased to 4.3%.

Reuters reported distressed credit protection on CoreWeave debt, but said broader bond-market liquidity measures remained calm.

Lam Research announced a $25 billion repurchase authorization, while Vertiv disclosed a multiyear Infineon supply agreement.

Friday's rebound recovered only part of Thursday's drop, and firm yields, high volatility and credit stress left risk unresolved.
