Chesapeake Energy Corporation (CHK, quote) announced today it plans to offer $2.3 billion of senior notes in order to help fund a tender offer worth about $938 million in outstanding senior notes.
Natural Gas traded lower settling $3.554, down $0.145 (3.8%). The curve was weaker 13/17 $0.04 lower. Hub cash was much weaker, ~$0.25 back this morning, Z-6 down $0.10 to $3.60. The 12z was in line with overnight models during the 6-10 day (warming East, cooler West).

Break News -Chesapeake Energy’s (CHK, [stock CHK]) board of director shakeup. Four directors resign and one retires. Allowing either Icahn or a Icahn representative to be named to the board. Chesapeake Energy’s CEO McClendon will remain the companies CEO.
